After the success of the AZ mixtape, I felt like I had established myself to my core audience as more than just a guy burning songs on a cd-r. This was a clear attempt on my end to expand my audience by using the most popular rapper on the planet at the time and I had access to the G-Unit era songs in perfect quality without Whoo Kid, so the timing was perfect. The concept of doing a best of Eminem without using his albums was an interesting decision debated in the studio down to the last minute with my friends, but at the end of the day I wanted to make something that was compliment to his official catalogue. Looking back at many of my mixes some age better than others, however this mixtape, sounds like I could have made it yesterday. I was already starting to form my mixtape personality, and by that, more specifically, I always felt there was a cerebral, psychological aspect to the track order and how you deliver the music. The track order is flawless in my opinion, and every song leads into the next in a way the 90 minutes goes by in what feels like much less time. Bonus points for the throw in early Em classics at the end.
